Engine not turning over...

So I just wired everything back up to see if i could get it to just turn over and its not.... Should the battery light on the dash light up? Everything else is lit. Could the alarm system keep the car from turning over?

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Yeah its not cranking....all i hear it like 2 clicks from near the battery. Like ...Click click really quick but its not from the solenoid...The starter WAS working before...Im trying to replace the solenoid right now because I suspect that.

Edit...Check all my wiring and it all seems to be fine. I cant get the damn bolts off the solenoid ...the heads are about to strip since they are phillips and not an actual bolt. UGHHH

Power comes off of the battery through the ten gauge red wires to the common buss in the fuse block. This goes to the ignition switch. From the ignition switch it goes to the small terminal on the starter solenoid. Powering the small terminal causes the solenoid to pull the bendix gear into the teeth on the flywheel. The other end of the solenoid has a large copper washer on it. This makes the circuit between the large post with the cable from the battery and the motor part of the starter.

If it's not cranking then the voltage is not getting to the starter. Where is the question. As my teleporter is a bit on the fitz tonight I will not be able to check it myself. This is where you are on your own Grasshopper.

Hint: Check the cable connectors on the fire wall. One is the control voltage to the starter solenoid.
