There is an eBay auction up right now for a 951 "oil cooler." This is pictured:

Should I take this as an opportunity to pick up a 951 INTERCOOLER for cheap?

Looks like the Intercooler to me. My external Oil cooler looks smaller and has bolt on soft line connectors, not the larger 3" in's/out's

If you want an "Intercooler" for low Boost application that should work but aftermarket ones will do a much better job at cooling for higher power but can cost 500-1200$

yep, that is a 951 intercooler.
