I may have to replace the head on my 944. Does anyone know what heads are compatible with an early 1985 944 N/A?

It's rare that you would need to replace a head unless it's been really overheated and cracked or it's been machined to the point where there is no room to clean up the mating surfaces. Sorry, I don't know which ones are compatible with yours but I think most NA heads are the same. But someone here will know for sure. Send me a PM if you need to find one and I'll help you.

N/A heads, excepting the S cars, are pretty much interchangable. The later ones had an oil check valve to prevent the lifters from losing too much oil after shutdown. It's an easy job if you're comfortable doing your own timing belts.
