I'm thinking of a part...

I broke something while i was replacing my vacuum lines, its a small black and blue cylinder with a vacuum connection on each side, it was underneath the air manifold.

What is it? I'm at a loss.

Thanks.

Never mind, found it. Vacuum check valve. I knew as soon as i posted, it would turn up.

Ok anyone have a part number? As i dont seem to see them listed anywhere.

924RACR 08-16-2006 05:08 PM

It's a VW part - 191 611 933 F according to the PET.

Animal, vegetable or mineral?

How many things do you have to disassemble to get to it ?

924RACR Wins the game. He has won the satisfaction of knowing what the part number of the blue and black vacuum check valve is.

You guys do know that the parts catalog is now available online at Porsche.com, right? It's in PDF form, same info, drawings, etc as in the PET...

Do you have a link?

Yes, do you? I googled the part for some time but could not find any reference other than one being sold on ebay.

I also googled the Porsche parts PDF but the link on the Porsche website is broken, so I was wondering if anyone had a working link.

Broken link to Porsche parts PDF

As vacuous as a Bread Box

I did look at Pelicans website, and I did find the brake booster check valve but was put off by the photo that looked neither like a bread Box or the part i'd just broken.

Yes, you are correct, the link has been broken recently, but it was there and useful earlier...

Note that this can also now be legitimately bought from Porsche or the usual parts suppliers...

Still, they should fix their website... :)
