Sway Bar Upgrade
I just purchased a 26.8mm(27mm) sway bar for the 924S and it came with the two metal peices to mount it to the body. My question is what will I need to buy to install it other than new, bigger inner bushings. Do I need new outer bushings, and if so, what size.
Thanks!

Unless you at some point changed your control arms to the alloy type, i dont think its possible to properly mount that sway bar onto your car. The steel control arms used an entirely different endlink.
It might be possible to bore out the rubber bushings on your end links but it wont be a perfect fit.

Just put the swaybar on the car today and it bolted up fine. I did have to bore out the outer bushings but that was easy. I didn't get to test it because the tropical storm has arrived. I'm also thinking about instaling a rear sway bar on my car since it doesn't have one. Is this possible? If so what parts are needed? What rear bar size will work the best with the 26.8/27mm front bar?

Your car is going to understeer pretty heavily with a 26.8mm bar upfront and nothing in the rear! Get atleast a 18mm or the more expensive 19mm rear bar.
There is a bit of hardware you will need however..

What hardware is needed other than droplinks? Also where can you buy cheaper droplinks, they are $154 each on here!

Well I just got on paragon products and they have a rear sway bar adapter kit for $90. The kit fits 924S, 944 and says, "Kit allows addition of rear sway bar to those cars delivered without." Will this kit give me everything I need to add a rear sway bar?

Ok, I think I know what to do- order the KLA droplink kit($70) and the rear sway bar adapter kit($90) from Paragon, then get a rear bar. These two kits look like they provide all I need to install the rear bar. Am I right?

Stop
See if you have the shackle mount points on your torsion tube. If you do, you don't need an adapter. On early 924's if the car was delivered without a rear bar there were no mounts. I believe all 944's and possibly the 924s have the mounting points even if the car was delivered without a bar. Also make sure your eccentric bolts have the stud for the droplink. Same issue here as I spoke of above If you have the mounting points you need the droplinks, shackles, and a bar with the bushings. Try and get all this from ebay or someone parting a car as a package deal. You will save $$$ Regards Graham

Right The bolt above the arrow is the stud on the eccentric that I was referring to. The droplink in the picture will bolt to the trailing arm using that stud. The other end bolts to the swaybar. So slide underneath and see if you can see the stud. If so you are way ahead of the game.

Ok, I got under the car and there is no stud on the end of that bolt. Is that a problem and I wonder if that would come with the kit from paragon products?
Oh,and another thing, My dad said that my car doesn't need it. He said if it would have needed it, the factory would have put it on. Is this true

There is no stud on it because its a different eccentric bolt. You need the double sided bolt.
Your car dosent have it probably because of the cost it would have taken to put a sway bar on every 924S from the factory. It did come with a rear bar when the 924S was ordered with the factory sport suspension option. Think about it. Your car came with a 21.5mm FRONT sway bar from the factory and no rear bar rear. Your car in stock form probably understeered heavily like this. You now have a 27.8mm bar on the front and STILL no rear bar. Its obvious whats going to happen with this setup! On a side note i have a 18mm rear sway bar for sale.. it does not have any hardware or bushings though. Asking $40 + about $20 shipping.

You need to replace the two eccentric nuts with the ones that have the studs. They are @ $20.00 each. I don't know what the Pelican kit has, call them if you can't figure it out by the listing.
Adding that large front bar really imbalances the handling of the car. Porsche NEVER sold it like that....... Regards Graham
