Sunroof metal corkscrew cable
The rear lifters on my sunroof are not operating. The motor is fine. I found that there is a corkscrew type metal cable that is connected on one end to the motor assembly and the rest of the cable is just laying there under the hatch mat. I assume this should be fed up through the sunroof somehow. Does anyone have a diagram or can tell me how to reinstall this cable properly. Thanks.

Thanks. I already checked this article and it doesn't show how/where the metal cable (corkscrew type) goes or what to run it through. Does this goes through the holes in the rear of each lifter? What holds it in place? How far should it be fed through? Does it go in the same channel and the main cable?

The worm drive cable travels through a metal tube in the C pillar... look back behind the metal and you'll see it. Once it gets to the top of the hatch hoop it comes out of the pillar and the metal tube is also covered by a foam tube... the drive cable travels through the first lifter arm, through a second tube to the second lifter arm.
That's the best I can explain, it's what I remember from yanking that stupid thing out of my car and replacing it with manual latches
