What's it worth question
I just came across a 1989 na 944 that I brought home. The car/engine has 68,900 miles on it and runs well. The compression on each cylinder is between 190-210. What should I ask for $ when selling this engine. It is the 2.7 liter that they only built in 89. I am really stumped on what to ask. Thanks

Why not sell the car whole? Entire car is probably worth about $5k if in good shape with good history. Not sure what the engine alone will be worth, but i know the clyinder head will probably get you more than $1000 from the 944 Turbo guys.

car is missing the front bumper, and both front fenders. Decent car. I really thought about fixing it up but I am making 2 house payments right now...... Why so much for the head? Higher compression engine? Thanks

Turbo guys use it to bump displacement. Very hard to find the 2.7L head as it was only used in '89 on that model.
