Vacume mystery (almost solved)

I am lost to as what this connects to...

The thing in question is the deal that plugs into the intake on the front side... it's in, good solid connection (cleaned and sealed with rtv), but the line that goes from that to the brake booster has a line that splits off and goes... somewhere.

I capped it off, but surely it goes somewhere..eh...important?

Any body have a clue to as what i am talking about? I'll get a picture of it later.

This line is closer towards the intake connection... it's not that check valve thing for the brake booster as it's already hooked up and everything. The line that comes off apears to have a 3/8" inner diameter...

there's a 90 degree fitting that it has which comes off a short tube at the end of that...ehhh... weird Y fitting.

Ah im gunna go get a pic of it... soon.

well technoduck you got it right... you say nothing t's off it and... yet there is something. looks factory too hrmmm

On a side note... is it nessicary for there to be the vacume line going from the intake boot to the intake manifold? seems like it'd simply just bypass the throttle body... im missing a fitting for the part that goes from that Y connection from the intake manifold to the intake boot. I had something hooptied together but then blocked it off...

the car soooo wants to start but isnt! grr.

i guess the car will run one of two ways as mine was set up differently. My T at the front of the intake boot has a plug, there is no ejection pump. And the large brake booster connects directly to the intake manifold.

i wonder what purpose the ejection pump serves on these cars? All the pump appears to do in this case is possibly increase the air pressure and create more vacuum... cant be that important if it will run well without one. but youd think its there for a reason from the factory?
