Steering noise
I seem to have developed an intermittent humming/whine from the drivers side (rhd) of my s2 cab.
It doesn't seem to be there when stationary but when driving you can hear it on and off and i'm sure it can be felt through the steering wheel. It's appears with or without your foot on the accellerator and comes and goes. I'm thinking possibly wheel bearing (i've had issues with the caliper on that side which i sorted a couple of weeks back) or could it be steering pump related? I'm going to relace the steering fluid today and i know i have got a slight leak from under the PS reservoir.Could this be the reason?

What your describing sounds like a problem with the wheel bearings to me.

I'm thinking bearings too - just replaced the PS fluid and it's made no difference but the whine is definately there.I had a stuck pad in the caliper on that side causing bad judder a couple of weeks back which i freed up so i'm thinking maybe the judder has affected the bearing or loosened the clamping nut.
