radiator fan won't shut off
I just replaced all the fuses on my 87 924S. Now, after driving, the radiator fan won't shut off - its been running for a couple of hours. The coolant, which was just topped off by my mechanic a few days ago, is still right about maximum level. I took the radiator fuse out, and the fan stops. I put it back in, and the fan starts up again. So for now, I took the fuse out (the coolant tank is luke warm now). I wasn't having this problem until I switched the fuses.
Only one fan is staying on - the one of the right when facing the front of the engine. The fan on the left is not on. Also, when inserting the radiator fuse (#3 on the upper rack), there is a little bit of a spark. I'd appreciate any help on this! I've only had the car for a week, so there is a lot for me to learn. thanks - I checked on Pelican, and there are two switches to choose from, 75 degrees and 92 degrees - what is the difference, and which one do I need?

just thought of this, too - in the week that I have had the car, the power sunroof has not worked on two different occasions. Worked fine, then one day - nothing - next day fine - and then that happened again yesterday and today. Could this be related somehow to the radiator fan staying on? I'm also wondering why the fuse for the radiator fan is sparking a bit when I install it. The connection is live.

Because the normal failure mode for the rad fan switch, in the rad, is to fail closed (completing the circuit and allowing the fan to run). I'd rather have a dead battery than a blown headgasket!!!
You need to get out a multimeter, check to see if the switch is shorted when it's all cooled off. Most likely it is and you need to replace it.
