Clutch will have to replaced eventually, but wanted to know were did you guys go and what was the cost? Don's Autowerks in Campbell quoted me $2500 for the average job.

While I live clear across the country, for what it's worth, I just got an estimate to replace the clutch, pressure plate, bearing, new bolts for the axles, etc and resurface the flywheel for $2150 from a very reputable local porsche only shop.

FWIW - I had a new clutch (rubber center disc failed), clutch master (leaked anyway) & slave (a while you're in there thing), rear main seal (another while you're in there thing) and brake/clutch fluid pressure bled by Momentum Motorworks (also an authorized Dinan dealer) in Birmingham. Two days. $2050. Porsche parts. They repacked the CV's without asking. Although I insist on maintaining my car myself, I simply did not have the time or an extra vehicle. I am very pleased with their work AND their pricing.

I could look at the paperwork for mine, done at Master Automotive in Santa Clara, for the price. While not a cheap job, that price seems a touch high. I had mine done up here (Oregon) for about $1600, including me providing parts. Took it to a guy that does only Audi/VW/Porsche near my house.
