924S clutch problem
HELP! This is the first Porsche owned 1988 924S. The clutch pedal works sometimes and sometimes it will stay to the floor. The car is a project for my son and I. The car had a fried engine block and wires. Replaced the engine and wire harness and clutch, got the car to run with the replaced engine. I am just finishing up with the loose ends.

get a new clutch master and slave cylinder, bleed the clutch.. go on a nice drive.
whole process, minus the nice drive, should take about 3 hours with breaks, depending on how seasoned you are..

...or you can just try bleeding the cylinders you already have, but don't be surprised if you have to replace them. Look for brake fluid in the drivers floor board if the master is leaking or brake fluid on the pavement if the slave is leaking.

hey tom, to that end... my fluid level is still same as it's ever been, but I've got the sloppy pedal syndrome again indicating that one or both the cylinders are shot..
I looked at the boot on the mater cylinder... and it was shiny and covered in brake fluid... what would cause the boot to be covered like that?
