Another reason I like this little car better than my 964

I figured out another reason I like this little car. After 20 years I am playing music again w/ a buddy from college. We needed a PA for practice and the entire thing fits in a 944, plus a bass in the front seat.

Two front monitors, 2x12 powered subwoofer, mixer, mics, all cables, power conditioner, mic stands, and a bass in the front seat even fits.

I took the 964 to the grocery store and fit a whole (the entire thing) 20 oz bottle of Coke in the front with room to spare.

Yup, love how much you can cram in, I've had some huge amounts of stuff, way more than this picture, but I was soo busy those times never got to take a picture.

Yeah, my wagon was broken for a weekend show I had, and I was able to cram my entire guitar rig into the 924s, including two amps, two guitars, stands, cable bags, etc. Not bad for a little sports car!

Yeah, try stuffing this into a 911:

Me and my son going to the skatepark - he skates and I fool around on the little kid's bike.

Yes I a moving next week and will be using.... wait for this... yes, the 24S to move my stuff. Even though my toyota has an ungodly amount of trunk room, you can't fit any boxes in it since the trunk lid is retardedly small.

I hear ya. I miss my 944 S2 as well.
I cannot even haul my Fender strat and tube amp in my 964.
I might go back to the water cooled world in a 968.

If the 944 ever goes away the 968 will be my next car. The C4 is fast, handles great, etc, I just like the 944-968 practicality and after dumping significant money into my 944 I have finally realized that it is a lot cheaper just to buy a car that came with horsepower.

lol... how did you manage to fit that bottle of coke in your 964?

Schumi 04-29-2007 12:19 PM

I am thinking about dipping my toe in Boxster waters. I am approved for the loan...

It has 2 boots! Put them together and you would have maybe half the 944's cargo capacity! LOL.

The secret to getting the 20 OUNCER in there is to drink about 1/3 of it then kind of compress the bottle. It works grat.

Yeah, but I'm still looking for a cup holder that's not just slid into the edge of the seat, and not screwed into the door panel. Anyone??

With the roll bar space is a bit more limited, but still can fit 4x 225/50/16's, a jack, four pieces of wood (car is to low for jack), tools and a milk crate for all my other odds and ends..

I've got the old school cup holders that you clip onto the door... it slides down into the window recess and clips on that way rather snugly....

the curvature of the dash (at least on the early model) where the left most air vent is, is perfect to fit even a big gulp...
