I need a door handle
It started last night. It took six giggles of the door lever to open it instead of three. So today I took the door panel off and checked things out. It looked to be out of adjustment. So I adjusted the latch mechanism and it worked perfect. I shut the door to try it again, I pulled the lever and *SNAP* it now matches my passenger side handle, non-functional. So until I find one at a reasonable cost ($200 is not reasonable!) I'll be climbing through the hatch or leaving my windows open, either is no good to me. So if anyone has a door handle they are willing to part with or know of anyone who has a door handle for sale let me know! I will take either a drivers or passengers side or both if you have them. My car is an 86 944 n/a with porsche script. However, the script is not at all nessicary.

Handles are the same as some of the VW cars for the same years: Golf, Jetta, Scirocco.

I read a post saying they wouldn't work, however it may have not been the right year. But I certainly will take your word for it! If they didn't work before, they will now that you told them they would.

Hi, I have a passenger non script that was from a 83 944. If you might be interested email me at zedsn@hotmail.com

Does the VW thing go for 1984 also?
|
Is '83 the same handle as the 86? I don't know much about the model change. Seems they changed the most obscure things so I just want to be safe.

I have a non script drivers side handle from a '88 turbo that would work for you. $40 shipped. Pm me if you want it.

Thanks all for your help. I have located another set of script handles for a reasonable fee from a fellow pelicanite. Thanks again!
