Automatic to Manual Sunroof?
Is it possible to go from an automatic to a manual sunroof?
I will probably just figure out which gear in my sunroof is stripped and buy a new one...but I wanted to know if this was possible and what all is involved.

Yes, it is possible and quite easy. All you absolutely need are the manual latches that attaches to your sunroof. Remove your old latches and install these and remove the power lifting arms.
What you will find though is that the latches will not close completely without modifying your powered version of the sunroof headliner. You can either modify your powered liner which involves cutting channels for the latch to sit in or installing a manual liner which already has the channels formed into it. I realize this is not the best description, but I can put up some pics tonight if that would help. |

Next step is to attempt to source parts...
