Removing Torque Tube - Problem with Clamp Sleeve
I'm trying to separate the torque tube and the clamp sleeve will not let go of the driveshaft. I have spun the 8mm allen wrench style bolt completely out but the shaft remains in place. Any suggestions????????
FYI - I have the transaxle and the TT out of the car.

What is the clamp made of? It appears to be plastic.
I think I dinked up by removing the transaxle housing bolts first before I loosened the clamp........Do I need to put the bolts back in or do I put a torch on the clamp???

You should have the trans still attached to the torque tube before taking that clamp off. It is made of steel (not plastic).
Spray a little P&B Catalyst on it, let it soak for a few hours while you take a beer break. Through the inspection window you can usually pry the sleeve back towards the transmission side with a bit prybar or flathead screwdriver. Never had one I couldn't get off with patience and maybe a torch at the last straw.
