Time to reflect and remember
This is totally off topic but I believe it belongs here.
While floating around here today I had a thought about what we have learned in the last year and who we have lost. And instantly thought of the one person who epitomized this site and would just like to take a moment to remember. SO-CAL without whom many of us here would be driving Toyota's and is still missed but remembered

I've learned that, if properly mantained, 944/924S's are incredably reliable cars. I've put more than 30,000 miles on mine in the last year and haven't been left on the side of the road yet (almost did with the alternator, but that was my fault).
I also learned that these cars can go pretty far with no alternator, that an oil cooler seal job sucks like hell if you don't remove the exhaust manifolds, and that mashing the throttle in low 2nd through a slow, sharp corner with crappy front tires and gravel on the side of the road is NOT a good idea. Oh, and if you clamp the crimp joints tight on the radiator endcaps of these cars with vise-grips, it will stop minor leaks. Money can't buy happines, but it can buy a Porsche, which is essentially the same thing.
