The transmission fill plug and probably the drain plug( have not tried it yet) is really really really stuck! Does anybody have solution for this problem?
Thanks

That tells me that you are probably running dino juice in there. You can use a thread penetrate or try working it off by trying to tighten and loosen it. What you using to remove the plugs? A 17mm hex key? If so use a 17mm wrench with that. stick the key in the plug then use the wrench with the key to help prevent stipping of the plug. Once you break the treads free, work a little bit of WD40 into the threads. Once the WD40 is in there it will get very easy to get off. Once the threads break free continue the work the plug back and forth until you get it off. Thats helps to clean the threads.

Too much torque on that plug will crack the thing..the walls are thin. I have found that, addition to the 17 mm "wrench", I use a pair of curved Vise Grips on the outside of the plug to prevent breaking it.
Good Luck.

Liquid Wrench followed by a 17mm hex with a 1' or 2' cheater bar usually does the trick. Work it slowly and carefully. Clean the threads before you reinstall the plug.

I actually broke my 17mm hex bit trying to get the thing loose!!! Is the plug aluminum like the case or is it steel? Anyways I think I will get another bit and really soak it in some liquid wrench for awhile and try again.

I was thinking about using a propane torch to heat it as well. I guess I might have to give it a try.

No I haven't tried the bottom one yet for that reason. I figure worst case, If I can't get the top plug out but can get the bottom pulg out. I will drop the rans and change the fluid. But I sure hope it doesn't come to that. I imagine I will get the plug out eventually.

Also, if you are going to use a torch,... clean off the tranny as much as possible so you dont ignite any oil that might be there. Remember the gas tank is right above that.

That's a good point. Don't want to burn me and my car to the ground. It will probably be a week or 2 before I try anything, I am still working on refinsihing the wheels right now.

You might give some stuff called "PB Blaster" a try. Its a penetrating oil/lube stuff that has a "catalyst" in it that helps get through the rust and crud. I've had good luck with it and have seen other guys post and say its helped them out too. Good luck with it and let us know what finally worked.

Well, I just obliterated my drain plug (still plugged, but thoroughly stripped out the allen head bolt... I got desperate and used an impact gun and bit on it, not fully seated either because the exhaust was in the way... stupid but I wanted to go for it since the car is 'designated down' until March at least... and yes I hit it with PB several times before... =( had an 18'' breaker bar on it before too... =( ). Time to find a decent fluid extractor. =)
