now this is a dirty air filter, pic, kinda funny
  got my timing belt and ballance shaft belt swaped. i took off the filter box just to make some room while i was working. once i got it off i heard something rolling around in the box  . too bad, after puting in a new filter it doesn't run any better. still has a big flat spot down low and rough idle. well now that i got the maintaince stuff done it is time to figure out the poor running problem.

If bad idling and loss of low end power after timing belt swapped then possible the CAM timing is off. The belt may be one or two teeth off the correct mark.

Darn nature, always getting into the worst spots, lol! Good pictures, they made me laugh. I am surprised there was no performance decrease from having almost your whole air filter blocked, hum...

Had a squirrel stash spruce cones in my engine compartment a few years ago. I think it was the same furry bastard that ripped half of the black foam off the bottom of the hood for nesting material.
No problems after making good use of the pellet gun . . . .
