Differential Question
Hello All,
I have an 85.5 na auto and I am curious if it is possible to put in a taller gear. I think I have a 345. I would want to do some more long range high speed driving. I sometimes wish this car had a 4th gear. I know I would loose some get up and go but I'm not drag racing anyone anywAy. On a slower curvy road I sometimes leave the car in 2nd and sometimes that seems too low. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Regards, Dietrich |

lol - but, if you really want an automatic, you could swap the car out for a 968, which has a 4 spd auto

You could go a size up on the tires. This should give almost 5% extra.

does that car have ABS? if so, besides the obvious change in speedo reading, that could mess that up too

To answer the last two post I've got 215/60 on 15" phones front and rear. If I went with bigger tires in the back would that throw off the handling?
According to my tomtom the speedo is a little high (3-5mph). I don't know if it's abs. It's a late 85. Regards, Dietrich |

85/2 cars don't have ABS.
