Well officially the P9201 is the bomb diddy tool but Bruce's 920X is the next best thing at 1/3 the price.

Yes,

I am ordering it tomorrow. I cannot afford to have someone adjust/replace my belts everytime they need to be done. I know my balancer belt is too tight and is driving me crazy. his website is very imformative and thank god for people like him for doing the R&D to make our lives much easier. Anyone know where to grab a thin wrench (maybe Sears?)

He sold thin wrenches as well. that is where I bought mine from. You may also want a flywheel lock to change belts. I had good dealings with Bruce and would recommend him.

You want best or you want best bang for the buck? The two are entirely different.

I would go for the Maxi kit http://arnnworx.com/enginetoolsets.htm

I would not go for the kit with the kriket. I have tried the kriket and was not impressed.

For the couple hundred bucks you spend you can save $1000's over the time you own the car PLUS you can sell the kit at a later time if you ever decide to sell your 944. This was the justification I used when I bought my P9201 and over the years it has saved me a boat load of cash.

I have met Bruce. He lives about a half hour from me. I have bought his tools and his TB seal kit. First class guy. He even came over and helped me do my belts. It's some of the best money you will spend.

I too have just ordered the Maxi kit from Bruce. It struck me as good value also.

For those that are interested, I did get a quote from Sunset Imports for the 9201 @ $494.05.

So you mean a quote to get the belts being changed ? I noticed they have this booked at 5-6 hours of labor...shaammmmonnnn. Even a numb job like me could do it in 3-4 hours tops !!!

I need that freakin kit though to make things gravy ! My timing belt and balancer belt are very fresh, so I want to get me balancer belt adjusted correctly so it tops whining like one of my kids.

I think he means the actual P9201 tool. Sunset usually has the best prices on new, original P9201s.

Yes,

And for 500 dollars, you still do not have all the tools to do the job
