new Rennbay shift boot
any tips on putting on a new leather shift boot?

I made mine fit really well by warming it up with a hair dryer and from fit it over the shifter

Spray a little silicon spray onto your shift knob. Insert the base of the shift knob into the top of the shift boot. Work the shift boot up the knob little by little gently using a pair of pliers to pull up the leather.. Use a screwdriver to tuck the leather into the cap groove. Use a plastic water bottle screw cap to press the leather into place inside the cap groove. Insert the cap and use a vice to compress the cap into place.
