What sensors?

What are all the sensors on the 944's? I'm still having a backfire problem after sorting out alot of other issues. Right now I'm just doing free analytic tests since I don't have money. Thus far: Changed FPR and FPD, refurbished AFM and TPS, tested for O2 problems, changed coil and put on a set of decent crippler plugwires that don't arc. The car runs tremendously better than it has in quite a while but it still has a pretty good backfire once in a while, only on deceleration. My suspects are: Exhaust leak, worn distributor cap, damaged AFM. Any other culprits? I'm pretty sure the fixing the exhaust leak and changing the distributor cap will probobly fix most of the backfire if not all. I'm just wanting to do as much analysis as I can while I wait to start job training (wal-mart, woohoo!).

If the backfiring doesn't go away after changing the cap and rotor, do a compression test to test for a burnt valve. If you have significantly lower compression in 1 (or more) cylinders , with the backfireing you are experiencing I would suspect a burnt valve.

hmm, that would surely suck.
