Dasah restoration advice needed
I'm taking out my dash (slowly!) in order to replace heater hoses and would like to restore it. I looked at Just Dashes online, they don't show pricing but seem to be able to do it. I'm not sure I'm into leather, so any other experience out there?
Thanks

Sorry, I mis-spelled dash in the heading and can't seem to edit it!

Art,
Leather is nice but really expensive: http://www.928leather.com/. 2nd option is DIY, long thread, good info: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=150402&referrerid=53637 The plastic/vinyl dash covers seem to warp and unglue-not pretty Purchase a used, slighly cracked dash: hard to find Solution? Good luck and glad you are moving on with dash removal and heater/hose work. John_AZ |

IIRC, Just Dashes will cost somewhere between $500 and $750 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). The dash covers will work well enough and taking the dash out will make installing them easier and better. They seem to warp worst when not glued/screwed down properly.
