Please D R I V E your car!

Every so often I punch Porsche into a Kijiji search just to see if anything turns up, Heres one that genuinely makes me sad. Although I dont drive my car a lot this is just ridiculous.

That interior makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! I want it! Too bad I don;t have the money. I also agree, why buy a car and never drive it? You can drive a car and keep it showroom condition, you don't have to keep it in the garage to keep it looking like that!

I agree with Dave. Cars like ours are meant to be driven.

Unfortunately, a $25K asking price... I could buy 3 or 4 decent N/A (5 in the US) or a couple of really turbos for that price.

Nice car !

It's really hard to put a value on a car like this one...the problem is the car is not rare and you can make many Porsche 944S examples just as nice as this one for less money. Recently a 944S2 Cabrio with 20K+ miles sold on Ebay for 18K...???

In my opinion, the 911 Porsche's will continue to increase in value, while the 944 Porsches will stay below the 20K mark...with the Turbo's leading the pack (in stock form).

uhh i dunno if you can find one THAT nice. the problem with that car is regardless of the condition, it will still need maintenance due to stuff being old, regardless of amount of use.

very nice car, but probably not worth the money. now, if it were an 968, S2, or 951.... MAYBE to the right buyer...

hmm... dad bought his '83 944 with 18,000 mi. on it. pretty much the same deal. now it has 35,000. he's been driving it a bunch more lately due to the fuel cost. his truck is diesel, so he's saving at least $.70 a gallon.

I lived around the corner from a guy that had/has a 1987 951 with 27K miles. In ten years I saw it move one time, and that was to get it out of the remodelers way. I went to talk to him that day about it. It was a sweet black on tan, the car was perfect! He wanted $12.5K but it did not fit in my budget at the time. His story was he wouldn't drive it because it was too dirty.:(

There was a 944 Turbo in Panarama not that long ago that had 400 miles and had the sticker in it. I think the guy was selling it for $60,000.

And speaking of owners not wanting dirty cars, I have a feeling that's how I scored mine. I only paid $8,000 for it, which is a relatively good deal. 90k, new Turbo S motor (well, 20k on it...), up to date maintenance. He had two other Porsche's and an MB (wife drove a Forester, of course!?!?). But basically the car was dirty.

I still see him (I'd say we're friends, through PCA), and after I gave it a good detail for the next PCA mini-concours, that "if I ever wanted to sell it, I should let him know." Funny how things work.

It's far from perfect, which is why it's getting painted Monday. YAY!!!!

That interior is almost as nice as mine....:p

The problem with paying a premium for a really low miles old car is that you can't then use it much or you'll lose a bundle on it .
