smoke in a few places.

I was running my car today and fixing my throttle, when i saw a little bit of smoke coming up from the oil filter area. Couldnt see where it was coming from, and didnt see any oil driping anywhere from the top. I looked underneath the car and saw some oil on the ground under the PS pump area. (def oil) Anyone know what could be leaking?

Also, a few days ago my blower motor under the hood was smoking. It looked like a creamy, yellowish kind of smoke that really smells. My front defroster doesnt work, but seemed my rear did. Any ideas?

oil getting on the exhaust will cause it to smoke. could be the cam seal or the cam tower gasket leaking.

blower motor/yellowish smoke...sounds like you cooked some wires. Has nothing to do with the rear defroster.

like HP said, if oil is leaking out of the cam tower gasket it'll leak onto the headers and smoke. I just fixed this problem on my car, it was a good amount of work, non of it too difficult though. Yellow smoke is definately fried wires/insulation.

You could first try retorquing the cam tower bolts (15lbs). Usually by the time you get oil burning off the exhaust it's too late, but you may get lucky. I did...

I took the blower out a couple minuets ago, and the motor is black in somespots. Definetly blown blower. Havent got the car up to look underneath yet. But the bottom of the car is REALLY dirty, probally wont be able to tell where its coming from. Thanks guys.
