LSD Question
Were LSD's an option on early cars?
If so, anyone know the going price for them? Thanks |
Yes LSD was an option on the early cars. It is code 220 retail $590.00 in 1983
|
Unfortunetley it was an option on all 944's except for the Turbo S and '89 951's. Its a shame Porsche did not offer it standard.
Going rate now days, i would say in the area of $600-1000 depending on condition of the transmission for a n/a. And anywhere from $900-1500 for a 951 box with LSD. The S2 boxes go for about the same, but usually on the higher end of that due to rarity and the better gearing (shorter). |
Ok, good. I actually found a 944 in the junk yard this morning. Was just seeing if it would be worth it to pull it out or not.
Unfortunatly I couldn't use it in my late 85. |
Did it have LSD?
|
I still have to verify, but it did have option 220
