FPR/ Damper Problems

Talk about bad luck....I was in the process of selling my 84 944. the guy loved it till we opened the hood with the engine started and he saw fuel squirt from the diaphragm damper.

Does this mean i need a new damper or could it possible be because of my fuel pressure regulator, which i suspected might need changing soon?

replace the dampner, what makes you think the reg is bad?

I am working on a similiar problem. Please be more specific, Where is the fuel coming from. Is it clearly the damper leaking or the large 10mm inlet fuel line crimp (OEM) where the inlet fuel line attaches or where the "jumper" short fuel line goes to the rail.

The fuel pressure regulator is directly attched to the rail. Vacuum line in back and fuel return 8mm small fuel line with screw clamp in front.

My leak was the by the large crimp (OEM) fuel line on the fuel damper and not the damper itself.

The fuel squirted from the tip of the top of the damper.
