Hi all,

I have a 87 944S and hear clicking/ticking noise come from the glove box area. Does anybody have any idea on what could be the problem?

Thanks,

Ngoc

It's probably the solenoids controlling the doors for your HVAC system. When a vac line comes loose, breaks, or leaks it can make them cycle and drive you crazy. Does it do it more when you turn on the fans, AC, or heat?

There is a very small fan located behind the clove box that pulls air from the cabin, it is part of the climate control. The fan has a rubber hose that attaches to the little grill next to the clock just above the glove box. Over time allot of dust collects on the fan blades and can cause a slight ticking noise. To clean the fan just remove the clove box and pull the rubber hose off. I used rubbing alcohol and a q tip.
