Porsche Crest CFL 944 meet pictures!

Our meet on September 6th was a great success. BIG thanks to everyone who participated, hopefully we will have another meet this fall or winter!

So here is a taste of Orlando, Florida on a 105 degrees day!

A very good friend of mine with a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion came along also.

From Downtown Orlando we took a cruise northwestward through some twisty roads and ended up on a big lawn for some more pictures and a lunch break.

Also, I would like to thank our camera crew for filming the entire meet from start to finish, I cant wait to see what kind of video they create!

I decided to take a handful of rolling shots on the way back

pinstriping in the white 924S

Do you happen to know if that is a custom striping set for the 924 etc, and if so , where it can be obtained from.

Love the Gulf Blue 944 and the Starion. All the other 944s looked very nice and clean. I can't wait to see the video to see what kind of trouble was caused during the event.

The guy painted the car himself, most likely he picked up a "universal" kit from the parts store.

paper1122 beat me to the answer. I think it is just a universal kit that you can buy at an auto parts store. They make all different colors and sizes and styles.

The rear bumper is a fiberglass euro bumper made by IFC Racing. I had bought the mounting brackets seperately for it, and because of the slight complications I had putting it on, Mike from IFC Racing is now selling all of his rear bumpers with the brackets pre-attatched! He commonly sells these on ebay so keep an eye out for his products, he is a great guy.

Here is a closer shot of the IFC Racing bumper. The lines dont match up perfectly, but that is because of my car being wrecked in this corner many years ago, not because of the bumper itself.

The only bad part about using it for street use, is that you loose the bumper shocks and that beefy aluminum bumper, so there is basically nothing other than a thin layer of fiberglass protecting the you or the car. I only drive the car about once or twice a week though, so it's not a big concern.

this picture was taken at the meet by our rennlist member Wade (ninefiftyone). Here are the rest of his pics!

I think we are going to keep it in the Orlando area, unless someone wants to start a meet over in the Tampa area, because we have several people coming from the east coast as well, as far up as St. Augustine for this meet.

But if anyone starts a meet in Tampa I'll be more than glad to join that!

Also, I will keep you on the list for people to invite to our next meet, whenever that may be!
