Well I took out my cruise control servo last night and I am in the process of cleaning and greasing it, however I need to use my car. Can I drive my car without the servo in without the cruise control trying to engage or anything like that?
Crap...... Also when I disassembled the servo, the lid was stuck, so when I pried it off the little spring popped out, how does it go on the gear? Thanks.

Once you take the servo motor out of the car, you essentially have no cruise control. I don't think you will have any problems driving around without one.
If you need a new servo motor, I have three (3) to choose from should you not be able to find info on the spring placement. Good luck with that.

I ended up talkin to a guy about it and he told me I'd be aight and after he showed me where it links to the throttle I was like well duh that makes sense, haha. But anyway I got it all greased, cleaned, and installed back into the car and still nothing, I acts likes it wants to work sometimes but it doesn't go all the way through with it. Should the contacts be totally shiny, or at least close to it? I cleaned them until nothing more would come off (which they are still quite blackened), now granted I didn't want to scrub too hard cause I wanted to make sure not to damage the contacts....are they clean enough to operate? I'm kinda thinkin now its the control stalk cause the cruise control computer looks perfect, just about brand new. I got a little more than I bargained for when I undertook this here job, but anyway, thanks for the help.
