windshield removal
I don,t know if this subject has been previously covered, but I about to have a new tinted front windshield fitted , cost $200 Aud dollars. I find that there is a soft rubber seal around the sides and across the top of the screen, outside that is. If I remove this, then can the screen be removed without removing metal trim that fits around screen top and sides ?
 Many thanks for advice thus far.

What year is your car??? The windshields trim and molding are different from the early and late cars.

Hi Jim, Regarding removal of windsheild ,
 944 is a 1984 and screen has been scratched by worn wipers along with stone chips. I am also unable to source outer seal so I intend to clean and reuse existing rubber. Thanks Ron.
