Starter Bolts?

Need to purchase both starter bolts for a 951. Nobody seems to have any in stock.

Anyone know where I can get them - or what the specs are so I can just buy them off the shelf?

Actually they are M12 x 35 and M12 x 50 (1.5 pitch) if you are talking about the starter mounting bolts to the bellhousing.

...and you will not find the torque value anywhere. The recommended torque for a Class 8.8 bolt with that thread pitch is 50 ft-lb "lubricated". I'm pretty sure "lubricated" means anti-sieze compound or oil. You have probably already figured out that it will be a good idea to use some anti-sieze on re-asssembly.

Thanks guys - what kind of business would carry such things? I live in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. My Porsche store has been no help.

I have good luck at True Value here. They have a large fastener selection.
