Strut Questions.

Hello all,
I met a guy at a SCCA event and he offered me some old parts. I have an 1987
944 na. He sent me some front struts (free) that are supposed to be from an 87.
They are not Sachs Boge. They have the screw off top retainer. The only part number I can find is 944343030/03212 and 080A15A5C1. Are these off a different year? Thanks for any help. John JB Bergman

They are the early cartridge type strut up to 86 NA. There is a slight mounting difference because of your later offset. They still might be able to mount by elongating one of the holes on the strut case but I'm not positive.
