Porsche Crest 944 S2 Cabriolet Door Issue

Hi Folks,

My drivers side door does not want to close crisply. How do I adjust? Passenger side closes fine. Any suggestions?

New Owner!

Thanks-AJ

Crisply as in it doesn't fit (a bad repair) or the tension when closing is "off"? The later is pretty common and readily adjustable. The door stop is a simply ball that rolls along a plate affair (think marble rolling along and falling into a pocket/divet) that will respond differently to different amounts of lube. I've had mind go from very loose (doesn't hold the door open) to very tight (hard to close the door).

As long as it's not loose it's just a regular maintenance thing. Clean it well and then lube it. The more lube the looser it will be.
