wheel preferances
I recently acquired a 1984 944 that was a two owner car, it came stock with fuchs
15" wheels 7" front 8" rears. I also have a set of stock phone dials from an early 85. My question is which is the most popular or the most desirable wheel to put on your 944? Thanks I would really appreciate any response. |

if you have fuchs in 7&8's thats really really nice, I would clean them up, polish or paint them if needed and call it a day.

Are those 16" Fuchs? If so you are even luckier since they come off a one year only 86 944 turbo. The standard NA Fuch was 15x7 all around but some people have acquired 8" from older 911's for a staggered set-up. Either way keep the Fuchs over PD's any day.

I appreciate your responses, I will post some pictures of this 944. I really think I found one of those so called diamond in the rough vehicles. This car has 980000
actual miles clean carfax and the original porsche cassette radio. I purchased this car for $1300, all it has is an over heating problem. All suggestions are welcome on how to diagnose this problem. |

Fuchs all the way. Nothing says "Porsche" better than Fuchs. They're the most sought after wheel and to me the phone dials are the ugliest wheel Porsche ever made. Followed closely by the cookie cutter.

+1 for Fuchs.
When I got my car, they were painted black. Eventually some paint chipped off near one of the bolt holes and I saw they were anodized gold underneath - so I stripped the black paint off, and voila! I painted the Porsche logo on the hub caps since this picture was taken. They really look great. Particularly the gold with a black car...

Yeah, I did add one too many zeros on that. I also have a question, What kind of reading would you get on the temp gauge if the connectors we not attached?
