Mods You Regret

With so many choices for mods, I thought it would be useful to hear of any mods that you have done that you later regretted or were not happy with. Some ideas sound great but just don't meet expectations, so let's hear about them.

......I was 16 years old and put those funny pedal covers on my car. You know....the cheap ones from Autozone. Luckily it wasn't permanent!!!

Wow.....I'm glad I got that off my chest. Been meaning to tell you all for years now. haha

I do not know why I am doing this.....I feel like I'm at confession. But they looked just like these:

I'm a serial modifier, so due to the sheer volume of changes, some are bound not to have been the greatest of choices:

Regret:
1) Fitted smaller gell-type lightweight battery & a really nice alumi(ni)um box to hold it in. Now need to chuck both. In winter, with constant usage of every electtrical component on the car, I actually need all of the original battery's 63Ah to crank the motor
2) Wheels bought the lightest, smallest wheels I could in 15". Now have uprated brakes, lightest, smallest wheels don't fit
3) Ever having changed filters from OEM standard. Other than more noise, none seem to make a difference on these cars

Not happy with:
1) Rear plastic screen instead of glass. It saves weight, but doesn't look "right". I now need to find a screen that looks right AND saves weight...

I already had a SFR catback on my '87 n/a and found the SFR y-pipe for dirt cheap, so bought it also. Had the test pipe section made.. so basically i was running a full 2.5'' exhaust with no cat from the headers back. Lets just say the car was ungodly loud, to the point it was annoying. I had it on for about a week before i was sick of it and took it off again.

And the only other thing i can think of is sitting in traffic on a 90* day knowing i willingly took the a/c out of the.. . I never use the a/c anyway, but that didnt stop me from thinking about it .

I would say the mod I most regret is Z-man.

Wait, what?

lol - i wouldn't say "regret" necessarily, but there were certainly ones that didn't work (like any of the 9 cat-backs i tried that reduced back pressure but cost me torque)

Not getting the turbo "mod" when I got the car

Cat back (not borla).. . . I will let you guess.. . . Yes it does begin with a "B":

Rusted fast, was very loud, and was heavier than stock. I dont think there was any appreciable HP gain. Once I took it off I found that it was just a sonic turbo muffler welded to a bunch of pipe (not even mandrel bent). I was a tad annoyed.
