Early Boxter wheels on late 944?

Looking at some 16" Boxter wheels. Is the offset correct for 87' 944S or '88 924S?

Thanks.

yes

I have those on my '87 944. I needed 1/4" spacers on the front wheels to clear the dust caps, but I hear that sometimes you don't need them. (Plan on needing them, tho.)

BB.

Excellent. Thanks, fellas!

they can be probably be made to fit, but they are very heavy compared to what came on the car, and you could easily see issues pop up that you might not expect

They are also 6&7's

Is there a weight table for all the different OEM or optional Porsche wheels somewhere? That definitely a factor that I'd want to consider.

Copy that Dave. I'm really looking for 7 front and 8 or 9 rear. Thanks for letting me know that. The seller wasn't sure.

How does that weight compare to the C2 5-spoke? As shown here...

Thanks.

there are a couple of tables - i think i can figure out how to transfer them - i'll give it a shot - pretty easy to call wheel enhancement though - those guys are THE porsche wheel source

The Glademister 02-08-2009 10:05 AM

Thanks Flash. If you have difficulties I would imagine most watching this thread would be specifically interested in the wheels (and their weights) that readily fit 924S and 944.

It does appear that Wheel Enhancements is all over the Porsche products but I hate to call a new parts vendor and ask questions when my intentions are to purchase used from private party. I get those kinds of questions in my sales business and it's quite annoying. Besides, that's why we have this forum with helpful members like you. Thanks again.

no worries - the stuff i have is pre-boxster though, so i need to add that - i've been building a list for another website, and just haven't had the time to finish it
