new 924 steering issue...

I just bought a 924, but it has sat for about a year, and it has loose steering, it has play when going over a bump slowly and when going around 25 mph, both accellerating and coasting. what do I need to check first, for front end problems? know where to find parts? are they expensive?
Thanks

not very expensive, mine ate the outer tie-rod ends, so i replaced them and the inners were fine. got them from www.*********************** and its free ship over $50! ball joints should be okay, but jack up the control arm and use a pry-bar under the wheel and check for movement up and down. may be best to have an extra set of eyes

924 tie rods

i jacked it up, checked the outers they seem ok, but the inner tie rods have movement and a lot of play. do i need to order the tie rod attachment, or the whole set up? thanks for the diagnosis.

probable just the inners, but if it were my car, i would do inners and outers both, just do it once and be done with it. then get it aligned and your good to go!
