I have a 1983 944, part it out or sell it?
 

I have a 1983 944, it had 50,000 original miles on it, then the timing belt broke and bent a valve. We replaced the head, then found out while manually turning the motor over that a small piece of metal went down in one of the cylinders and scarred it, so we took out the entire engine and rebuilt it. The interior is not nice looking at all. It's a redish colour, not maroon and not guards red, I can't remember what it's called, but the paint is very nice. It has a bursch exhaust on it, and that little throttle wheel update.

Would I make more money parting it out, or selling the entire thing? 15" fucshs(or however it's spelled).

If you have the patience or you would like to make more money I would part it, if you want a quick sale, sell it as is. I personally do not have the time or patience to sell each part and to take it all off, but that is just me others may vary. Good luck

Unless it has some premium parts like Limited Slip Diff, upgraded suspension, Koni's dampers, etc. I wouldn't mess with parting it. Most people part them INSTEAD of fixing the broken t-belt damage. And Fuchs wheels aren't as high value as they once were.
For quick money, I think you'd do better selling it outright especially if you have receipts for the work you did and the worst thing is some shabby interior.
Or invest a little time and $ in some used seats and carpet for a few hundred bucks and make it a higher price. I stripped all the pristine interior out of mine and only got $200 for it.
