Front wheel install issue with grease cap

Hiya. My new wheels are having a fitment issue related to the front wheel grease caps. The wheels are bottoming out on the grease caps leaving at least 1/4" between the wheels and the hub (?). The rears fit perfectly and are tucked in just enough to not rub it seems. I would imagine that I have two choices if I plan to keep these wheels: 1. add spacers all around and roll the fenders or whatever else may be neccesary to ensure fitment or 2. grind away the wheel or grease cap until they wheels fit without spacers.

Not using spacers would be best as the 1/4" the wheels are sticking out from the hub (or whatever it is) now may cause problems. There is no rubbing with the wheels turned but that may change with bumps. If I could get the wheels to fit flush then they would be tucked perfectly inside of the fender.

The exact problem is that the grease cap is hitting the inside of the wheel lip that the center cap mounts to. If I grind away about a 1/4"of that inside wheel lip, which is possible, I will not be able to put the center caps on unless I modify them and glue them in as the mounting tabs will no longer work because there is no lip. I cannot leave the grease cap off as that would allow junk to mess the bearings up and the wheels still do not sit flush anyway (removing the grease caps only gives me about an 1/8". Has anyone else had this problem with wheel fitment? I would hate to start grinding or purchasing spacers just to find that my problem is still present. Any help is appreciated.

-Front wheel. Sticking out an extra 1/4". You can see the grease cap in the center of the wheel. the center caps will not fit as is on the fronts.

-about 1/4" of space.

-Rear fits just fine. Yes, I know the tread direction is wrong, it was just a test fitment of the first wheel I grabbed.
