Where do you look for a 944 to buy?

So im lookin to replace my 88' that i was forced to get rid of. I have looked on EBay and craigslist. Where is another option for $3000 944's? I know, but its all i got.

You can find a nice one for 3k. Check on here and rennlist there is always someone selling something.

thanks. i have looked on here and rennlist. nothing. I should state, looking for 85.5 and up. This time around i want one in red, but im not gonna be too picky on color. cars.com pulled up nothing that hit me. im in NW arkansas so basicly centered in the u.s. but it seems that now i have the dough and NEED a car they are very limited. I sold my jeep and boat to buy one in st louis but it was sold out from under me while enroute. pissed! I rode my kids mongoose to work today.
I have hit bottom. lol.

I have one for sale if you want it is a sunroof delete color is gray and it is getting a new steering rack and clutch hydraulics as we speak. Belt service was done 13k ago. Pm me if interested. Car is in NJ
I have a red 86 as well but haven't finished going over the car yet will be about another week. It was just painted guards red a few years back.

I have looked on CL within 1000 miles. all crap or too early of years... or too much. some folks are very proud of their parts cars. ballysdad, i'll keep it in mind. the sun roof is one of the features that brought me to the 944 in the 1st place. Let me know how the Red one turns out.

there is someone selling a nice looking 924S locally for 2K. seriously. i think all the maintenance and everything is up to date. if i could talk the wife into it, i'd buy it. right now. and it is red.

er... this is a 924S. if you don't like em, you don't like em. but it does have 944 drivetrain and is in good shape.

I hear ya. I promissed myself that i would not settle. 85.5 + red 944 in good shape. how close to that will i get before i give up, i dont know. i look like a gorilla humpin a football on the kids bike though. please still keep your eyes open.

Here in albuquerque, NM there is an '87 Turbo 944 for $3500 with 122xxx that needs minor fixes most 944's need (drivers handle, power steering). No mention of belts or such but that could be remedied with an email. I bet they could be talked down and for the Turbo it would be worth every penny of $3000. It is not red though.

Ya, i grew up in Rio Rancho and thought of flying out to visit my brother. I sent that guy an email a few days ago but hadnt heard back. Are you interested in taking a look at that car for me if i can reach him? My brother wouldnt know what to look for?

FYI guys, after googling the phone number for the red 87 i found that the same subject has listed a red 1987 944 as a parting out car. after seeing the price of $1995 i would assume it to be the same car that had a fatel issue. Looks like some good parts
