Ignition rotor help
Ok, thought I'd change the cap and rotor. Top clip undone ok but the bottom one crumbled around the cap. Went to pull off the rotor and it to crumbled in my hands leaving a brass piece over the shaft. Is the brass piece part of the rotor and does it have to come off as well?

There should be a set screw that holds the rotor on. Remove the set screw and remaining pieces of the rotor. Can you post any pictures? Do you have a new rotor to compare with?

Brass sleeve is part of rotor and needs to come off also. Some cheap aftermarket rotors don't come with one though. Make sure you remove setscrew and remove the sleeve (channel locks or flat tip screwdriver).
