944 heater core connections

I have a 1983 Porsche 944 and need to chance the heater hoses. I am unable to locate the hose connections to the heater core. I would like the procedure for changing out the heater core connections. Thank you

Check out clarks-garage.com. The heater hoses are located at the center firewall down about 20 inches. Hope this helps go to "H"and click on it.

I just went through that - or tried.

In the early cars, apparently you have to take out the entire center console, the dash and HVAC assembly to get at the hose connections. Stupid engineering.

Mine was leaking from near the heater valve - I couldn't tell from where, so I thought I'd replace both hoses as a precaution. It was not meant to be.

Instead, I cut 1/2" off the top of the hose by the heater valve, installed a new heater valve (in case that's where the leaks was coming from) and then put it back together. It's not leaking now...

It's not hard to take out the dash, just a long process. I didn't want to do mine until I had a new, crack-free dash to put back in (I don't want to have to do it twice).

seems like you got it fixed, but just incase it starts leaking again try laying in the floorboard. You might be able to reach it. (Although I've never tried). I was able to twist my hang to get into the back of the radio, and I was suprised about how much stuff you could get to if you wiggled your hand around.
