Headliner foam

Hello,

I need to replace the headliner foam in my 944 but I am not sure what to use or where to find it. This is the very thin foam behind the vinyl that you would find behind the seatbelt pillars and such. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Try going to your local fabric store. Ask some women and if they do any sewing they will tell you where it is located. If the foam is rotten you should be able to scrape, (use care), it off the vinyl. Use 3m Adhesive to attach the foam to the spread out vinyl and let it cure. Mask off and spray the adhesive to the roof and start at one side smoothing the vinyl as you go. You can use a paint roller, short, nap to help smooth it out.

They have specialty foams and will ship although they are in Boston. Looks like several options. Better choices than a fabric store w/ 1 or 2 densities. Maybe they can tell you of a closer supplier? So you could see/touch the product.
