why? He wronged you personally in some way by being creative? I don't understand people sometimes.

First off I wouldnt do what I said I was going to do. Even though I would love too. It's just that,... what he did is not creativity. It's bordem. Destroyed a perfectly good car to make what? Something he's now trying to get rid off. He spent the money to destroy that car but he cant spend the money to get it running? Which in his words should be easy. There no way I would purchase such a car just to do that. IF I was to make major changes to one of these cars,... I would make damn sure I slept on it first.

I actually have plans to glass a new body for my car. I will make sure it is tasteful and done the right way.

It would be much more comfortable to get a room and sleep there instead on a car -

Just keep in mind that tasteful is subjective as this thread is an example of that. Maybe the design is tasteful within his community or friendship circles? I dunno, the point is that no one person can decide what is good taste. While I'm not in love with the design of the car entirely, I applaud anyone that steps outside the box. Many on here need to pull the stick out of their but that is the owning of a Porsche and realize the 944 is very much within the bottom of the barrel. These cars can be picked up for cheaper than your hatchback civic and will likely have many more problems. There is no magic in owning one; it is a car, just like any other; get over it. Owning a Porsche (especially a 944) does not give anyone the right to pretend importance. I have no amount of rancor toward anyone, I just don't understand the importance of being part of the bandwagon to fit in; there are more important things in life.

Now, I would love to see what you end up doing to your car. You will be creating within your specifications of what is tasteful and even if I don't agree with it, it's fine; I'm just excited you're doing something.

What a bunch of bull - the popular majority has said the car is ugly and so it is. I think the car is in bad taste and you will never be able to spill a bunch of diatribe to convince me other wise. We all have our opinions and society will also set the limits of what is socially accepted and what is not. Van Gogh, Camus, Borglum and others were considered artists in their own right because society in general enjoyed their work. One can treat the artist that created that car as a three year old and tell him it’s pretty when in fact it is not. I will bet that the fellow who did all that mess has had at least 100 people tell him in person that it is ugly - because it is. Besides if it was even a near acceptable car someone would have purchased it by now - it’s cheap enough…..So why hasn’t someone told him it’s an acceptable creation and bought the hunk of junk.
