how much for '88 924S

ok...how much could i get out of my '88 924S? it has 103,000 miles on it, soon to have brand new water pump, timing belt, and balance shaft belt. I also just put in a new master cylinder. it has a few chips in the front and a small crack on the rear side marker lens circle thing but other than the that, the paint is perfect. i also heard that it's the "sport" version b/c it doesn't have power anything or a right mirror. pretty nice tires with 15 cookie cutters. also, i live in a spot where we don't have a lot of Porsches...any estimates are appreciated it.

how much for '88 924S

you are from binghamton? i'm from northeastern pa...did you see a lot of 951's up there? i can't find any 951's close to me for sale... i would like a little more power and don't think my 924S is worth turboing or putting nitrous since it's to much money and has high compression which prolly makes it less than good as a daily driver.

also, how much are fairly good conditioned 951's? if anybody finds a 951 for sale in my area, please contact me.

According to Bruce Anderson's latest price guide for the 924S (Excellence, April 2001 issue), the 1988 924S is worth:
$3660.00 for one in poor condition;
$4171.00 for one in good condition;
$5583.00 for one in excellent condition.

If the clutch was recently replaced, and there's nothing mechanically wrong with it, I'd say it's worth somewhere around $4500.00.

Why are you selling? I'm thinking about getting either a 924S or 944 n/a and turn it into a track car, but that's a couple of years away....

Just my $0.42.

-Z.

i'm not exactly selling it...i still owe a 1600 on it and that will take me awhile. i really want more speed/power/acceleration but still want Porsche handling. so hopefully with the money i out of the 924S and a little extra, i could get a decent 951. i was thinking of a 300zx or supra but i'm not sure. and besides, there are none of these types of cars that i want around here...
