Hardware kits? (nuts & Bolts)
So, I'm waiting on gaskets and seals for my 1984 944 so I can finally button it up and throw the head back on. However, after looking at all the nuts and bolts that came off the car during disassembly, I can honestly say I do not want to reuse any of them. From oil covered to corroded, they all have their issues.
I was wondering if anyone sold a complete hardware kit, just the nuts and bolts, to go with our cars. Not things like head studs or exhaust hardware, but the smaller nuts for the water pump or the long bolts for the timing cover, etc. Anyone? |

Check post #2 for info. Eagle Day and Paragon both have nice 'starter' hardware kits that cover most of the hardware on our cars.

Wow, you guys are on the ball tonight. Thanks!
Do you know what would be used most during a head/belt/WP job? |

Sorry, I forgot you wacky Austalians are on here. Here, in the Northeast part of the US, it's 10:36pm Sunday, and a nice toasty 19*F out here. Something like -9*C?

Well I ordered from paragon. What a mistake. I ordered with three day shipping so they'd be here by the weekend along with all of my other parts I ordered from pelican.
No. Backordered. And not even a phone call or email. Pelican let's you know everything about your order, hell even when the parts guy takes a **** I get an email alert. But paragon doesn't tell their customers anything. Luckily I checked on my order this morning to see it was in fact backordered so I could get them somewhere else. Now, after a $98 shipping bill, they'll be here tomorrow from the other vendor. /rant. |
