Curious: Front tire width on 924S
 

Assuming the wheels are stock dials on a 924S what is the widest tire that clears the wells and suspension bits?....tia!

I have 205-60-15 front and rear with no problem. Any wider on stock wheels would be detrimental to roadholding

+1, I run the same and the tires look quite bulbous. . .I would not go wider.

Something fun to think about though. . .get a used set of 951 late offset dials and you can run fatter rubber while looking stock.

i bought a set of dials with tires from another member. tires were 215/60/15's and they don't even rub. but i'm lowered with -3 camber and on 350lb springs. on stock springs, the additional suspension travel might make it rub on a bounce

I will go with 205's, I thought this was the best fit but was not certain. I did run 205's on 16" BBS 3 pc wheels but the inch difference had me thinking perhaps a wider tire on 15" would work out but had to inquire with the Porsche Board of Directors first.:)....thnx!

You can go larger. For AutoX I run 225/45/15 Nitto Nt01 on seven inch dials with no rub front or back. Does fill out the wells and gives a very aggressive stance to the car. No need to roll fenders running about 1.25 deg neg camber on front. In our PCA region this has become the go to setup to be competitive.

Stock dials are 6". Only the run-out model in Le Mans specn.ran 7"as stock

Yes I realize the stock are 6" That is what I use on the car for every day, however the car will accept the 7" all around and give the car a better look and feel. the 225/45/15 are used for autox. I use for around town 195/65/15 which is the correct size by the factory to keep the speedometer correct. In my area we now have speed cams no sense guessing how fast I am going not worth the ticket. The 205/60 will make you speedo run fast slightly

Also by running the same size front and back you can rotate tires front to back to balance wear.
