Beru Ignition wire leads DIY Kit now available through Pelican Parts!
After the last 964/993 group purchase of my DIY wire kits, I took Wayne's advice & contacted Pelican to sell my DIY wire sets.
The have not yet decided to sell/stock the 944-based wire sets, but should...25 people viewing as I type this: incredible. Long story short, I sell a DIY kit where you unscrew/reuse your 10 wire ends (disty wire included) and screw them onto the new wires. My templates are exact and Beru now carries a red wire as well as the black. I also can get a guards red (colored) wire and a nice royal blue wire as well, though neither are Beru. If you're interested in these sets at ~$70/set through Pelican Parts, let me know via this thread. Thanks! Mark

Oh I can make the sets now, I just want Pelican to see that there's interest so they can carry them for your convenience & fast shipping. Let's give it a couple of weeks and if Pelican does not wish to carry them then I'll sell the sets to you guys.
Mark

Are they new Beru ends too? My ends are cracking somewhat.

Look at them carefully: unless they were removed improperly in the past (a possibility), they should be in pretty good shape. The Disty boots can tear if someone uses a sharp object in trying to remove them from the cap.
There are times when a new entire wire set is needed: but I've had 19 Porsche's & none of mine ever *needed* new wire ends: it was mostly the failing wire leads.

The rubber looks cracked or broken on the hats on the distributor ends.
![]() Perhaps I'll do a night test with a fine mist of H2O to see if there's any arcing at the ends. I tried some Klewitt wires last spring but they kept unsnapping at both ends...I returned them to Pelican for a full refund.
